Performing blues, rock and country
Scotty Meyer is a native of Waupun, Wisconsin. He began his guitar career in 1992 playing bass for two years then switching to electric guitar. His early influences were Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and Joe Bonamassa. He started his own Scotty Meyer Band in 1998 originally just blues then it evolved into classic rock, pop, and country. Upon moving to the Fox Valley he began playing with Sonic Circus as lead guitarist in 2006 and after several nominations Sonic won cover band of the year in 2009 by the WAMI Organization.
Scotty was also a member of Geoff Landon and the Wolfpack, 2008 and 2009 WAMI country band of the year. In 2009 Scotty also began his career with the polka band The Happy Schnapp's Combo as lead guitarist SGT. Roxzoff. The Happy Schnapp's is well known for their national hit songs, Fleet Farm and Da Bear's Still Suck. He has been nominated by the WAMI's for guitarist of the year in 2008, 2009, and 2011. He has released two solo albums, Caught By Surprise and Pay The Price. You can find his full band schedule of all his projects on his tour page.
