Mickey Grasso -- Opening Our Season On The Deck

Mickey Grasso... is a Songwriter/singer and a Wisconsin native, currently making his home in the Green Bay area. Early years fronting the "Mickey Grasso Show" included stints opening concerts for many artists of the day such as Marty Robbins, Dave Dudley, Rex Allen, Jr., Marvin Rainwater, and Faron Young. (not to mention several shows with Vince Gill... long, funny story. You'll have to contact Mickey and ask!). One of the high points in Mickey's writing career was having a song he co-wrote recorded on Sun Records by Truckin' music legend, Dave Dudley (King of the Road album).

Big Mouth Trio -- R&B

Jay has been performing professionally for over 30 years.

His music has taken him throughout the United States. His guitar and vocal styles are deeply rooted in R&B and funk.

Jay does most of the writing for the band, which regularly plays over 30 original songs.

Big Mouth was originally formed by Jay Whitney in 1980 in and around Flint, MI. The bands focus at that time was to play an eclectic mix of blues, jazz, and original music. The band flourished for a number of years playing club dates and festivals throughout Michigan. The band stopped when a few of its members went on the road with other touring bands.

Jay Whitney moved to Door County in 1989 and formed a new Big Mouth with Pat Judy, Woody Mankowski, and Paul Sowinski in 1990. After reaching a level of success in Door County and Green Bay, the band decided to add a horn section, this being the birth of the Power Tool Horns. Over the years players have come and gone, but the band’s focus is still the same as it was originally in 1980. And everyone is still having a blast!

Darrell Hase -- Rock, Oldies & Fabulous Musical Impersonator

I have been performing as a professional musician since 1978.  I am a vocalist, pianist, guitarist.  Since 1978 I have had a 6 piece band and have performed all over the midwestern United States.  I also have been performing as a solo artist since 1990.  In 1987 my band which was called Haze competed in the National Television series "Star Search" and won the regional competition in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Over the past 5 years I have performed Aruba at 3 different venues as a solo performer.  I have written my own original songs and have recorded them and have had much success with radio airplay in the State of Wisconsin for over the last 20 years.

My most notable asset in performing is my voice.  I do impersonations of other singers.  When I perform a song, I try to sound like the original singer and incorporate this in my act.  With the versatility to perform piano, and also acoustic guitar, I am able to play the songs that are popular and keep the audience singing along to all of their favorites.
